Institute of Science Tokyo is hiring researchers and technical support staff for the BioSkillDX project.
The Department of Functional Genome Informatics at the Medical Research Laboratory is looking for several new team members to join the BioSkillDX project. This initiative, titled "Acquisition of Tacit Knowledge in Life Science Experimental Procedures and Work Support," is supported by the JST K Program.
In these roles, you will contribute directly to the project's mission of structuring tacit knowledge and passing on vital laboratory skills. Your daily work will involve conducting and developing life science experiments, refining laboratory techniques, documenting procedures through text and video, and helping organize events for technical exchange.
We welcome applicants who are eager to improve the quality, reproducibility, and efficiency of scientific research. For the researcher positions, we are seeking individuals with a doctoral degree or equivalent research experience. For the technical support positions, we invite those with a master's degree or equivalent experience to apply.
The positions are based at our Yushima Campus in Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo. These are fixed-term appointments starting from the date of hire and lasting until March 31, 2027, with the possibility of annual renewal.
We will be accepting applications starting June 1, 2026, and the deadline is August 1, 2026. Please be aware that recruitment might close early if we find the right candidates. You can find full details on the application process and required documents on the JREC-IN portal.
